Experience of Police Awareness Class

My Experience

Police are the force of peoples playing the major role in our society protecting all of us with their special power provided to them by the constitution. They are the one who have the responsibility of maintaining the nation in a better way. They have got the right to punish the bad one who is involved in or have done the crime harming some other peoples related to them. They are the who always have to work very hardly for the protection people living in their nation safely. They are the who always havw been working hard day to night without caring of themselves but the whole nation. They have to fulfill their duty by giving the protection to the nation's people as well as the supremes.

So, we also have some duty towards them. We should help and co-operate with them for maintaining the nation's law and reducing crime. They have started organizing some awareness programmes for the peoples .

Similarly, we were also given the awareness programme by few police members from "Merropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari,Kathmandu." They were working for making peoples aware on different topics. That was our first awareness class we had. Throughout the class we learned many different new things. There, we had learned about ; what crime is, what drug is, the effects of drug on human body, types of drug, cyber crime, etc. Here, we came to know that crime is anything done illigally breaking the law and harming others. A person who have broke the law or have done the crime is called a criminal. He/ she will be punished after they get caught by the police force. A person, if gets caught, who have seen the crime happening but runs away without informing the police force is also equally resfonsible and can get the punishment. Being the citiwen of the nation its their duty to work accordingly. In the same way we knew that a child below 18 is not allowed to purchase smoking materials. In case of this matter the sender as well as the seller is equally punished. 

In the same way, we knew that, Drug is a kind of harmful material that directly attacks our nervous system and brain. A persons becomes totally addicted after more than 3 times of use. Then, the person starts some criminal activities for money to purchase it. One can take drug for different causes. Some of them may be;

• Peer Pressure
• Curosity
• Depression
• Self interest
• Tension

There can be many changes in a person after taking drug. And the next topic we discussed about is: Cyber crime. Cyber crime is a major problem with the nation. It is the most common type of problem in the world. It is also the criminal activity done through the internet. Sime examples of cyber crime are:

1. Hacking other's devices.
2. Hacking others social id and posting bad images.
3. Making fake news.

I am very much happy after getting so much of knowledge of different topics. I would also like to thank the school community and the police force for the programme.
